IMPERATORI Roberta
Roberta Imperatori, nasce a Roma il 25 gennaio 1969, figlia della pittrice e figurinista italiana Teodori Maria Virginia, consegue la Maturità Artistica presso il V Liceo artistico, frequenta l’Accademia di Costume e di Moda a Roma.
Sin da piccola, l’amore per l’arte, la mitologia, il disegno, la letteratura, la musica, stimolano la sua ricerca pittorica, ne conseguono le partecipazioni ad eventi espositivi di arti figurative. Nel 2001 conosce il pittore romano Leonardo De Magistris (1933 - 2010) uno dei fondatori delle associazioni Cento Pittori via Margutta e Alternativa 94. La stima e l’esperienza di De Magistris saranno per lei di grande incentivo creativo, utile poi alla scoperta di un proprio stile espressivo.
Lo storico dell’arte Davide Sciuto intravede nella pittura di Imperatori un forte simbolismo, che induce l’osservatore a riflettere sulle esperienze dell’arte passata, rivivendole nel presente. Nelle sue opere assume un ruolo determinante la figura femminile, dai volti appena abbozzati, dai lineamenti eleganti, dolci e ondulati, gli incarnati delicati, le pose aggraziate, i gesti armonici e naturali, rendono le figure femminili estremamente affascinanti, misteriose, dotate di mistica bellezza.
Tali inimitabili caratteristiche prendono sicuramente vita anche dal percorso pre-artistico della pittrice, che sin dal periodo adolescenziale l’hanno vista attiva nel campo della moda e dello spettacolo. I suoi inizi da indossatrice e poi da modella internazionale l’hanno formata e proiettata alla ribalta, facendola partecipare con dotata presenza scenica nel campo della televisione ed in particolare delle trasmissioni televisive più conosciute dell’epoca: Fantastico, Domenica in, Scommettiamo che, Non è la Rai, Furore e Piazza Italia, per citarne le più famose.
Nel 2001 espone alla sua prima mostra collettiva con l’Associazione “Alternativa 94” in via Margutta, segue nel 2002 la mostra dal titolo "Francesco c’è", in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano, Roma. Nel 2003 espone con l’Associazione Cento Pittori via Margutta, allora diretta dal pittore Alberto Vespaziani (1937 - 2018). Sempre nel 2003 espone alle Mostre d’Arte a Ponte Milvio curata dall’Associazione "Alternativa 94", "Da via Margutta alla cittadina etrusca" al chiostro del Museo Nazionale di Tuscania. Seguiranno le mostre d’arte dal 2004 a Füerstenfeldbruck, il Surrealismo a Cremona con la Galleria "Immagini - Spazio Arte", Sale del Bramante e pubblicazione catalogo - Premio OpenArt 2005 - Galleria Monogramma - Roma, i Cento Pittori via Margutta nel 2004, 2005, 2006 a Mostra d’Arte dal titolo “Da via Margutta a Conca d’Oro” nel 2007, Galleria Pent’Arte – Roma – 2009. Sempre curate da Alternativa 94 e i Cento Pittori via Margutta, espone a Trinità dei Monti, in Piazza Trilussa. Partecipa alla Mostra d’Arte dal titolo "Arte del Gran Sasso" Isola del Gran Sasso d’Italia (Teramo), 2011, Galleria Saman - Mostra d’Arte dal titolo "Quelli degli anni ‘10 Preview" – Roma, a Readingandart.blogspot.com - dal titolo “Lettura e arte” curato dal blogger Bas van Houwelingen - Paesi Bassi nel 2014, in Galleria P&G Events per Audrey Hepburn nel 2014, al MACRO Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Roma con i Cento Pittori nel 2018.
Secondo la critica d’arte Carolina Lio, le sue donne, schematiche e scarne, poco appariscenti e costruite con il minimo indispensabile, sono raffigurate mentre compiono diverse azioni che hanno a che fare con l’interiorità e l’intelletto. Lettura, musica, scrittura e così via, in modo da concentrarsi sull’elemento intellettuale piuttosto che su quello fisico e restituire alla figura femminile una dignità e un’importanza più profonda di quella data dall’estetica.
Il suo stile concilia l’iconografia figurativa con esperimenti dell’astrattismo, rendendola assolutamente autentica nell’attuale panorama artistico italiano.
Iscritta nel registro dei Soci dell’Accademia Internazionale d’Arte Moderna (A.I.A.M) di Roma. Nel 2020 entra a far parte del Consiglio direttivo dell’Associazione Cento Pittori Via Margutta. Nel 2021 entra nell’Enciclopedia d’Arte Italiana.

Her style combines figurative iconography with experiments in abstract art, making her well appreciated in the current Italian art scene.
According to art critic Carolina Lio, the women she depict with the schematic and inconspicuous shapes while performing various actions that have to do with the interior and the intellect like reading, listening music or writing and so on. They purpose a focus on the intellectual rather than the physical element and restore dignity and deeper importance to the feminine figure rather than that given by aesthetic.
The art historian Davide Sciuto sees a strong symbolism in Imperatori painting, which induces the observer to reflect on the experiences of past art, reliving them in the present. In her works the feminine figure plays a decisive role, with barely sketched faces, elegant, sweet and wavy features, delicate complexions, graceful poses, harmonious and natural gestures, making the female figures extremely fascinating, mysterious, endowed with mysticism and beauty.
She is registered member of the “Soci dell’Accademia Internazionale d’Arte Moderna (A.I.A.M)” in Rome. In 2020 she joins the Board of Directors of the “Cento Pittori via Margutta” Association.
