With deep regret we inform the art world that the illustrious artist Venere Chillemi, one of the most appreciated and successful female painters and sculptors in Italy and abroad, passed away on 5 January following a long illness. Venere Chillemi has pursued throughout her life the research and study of pictorial techniques in evolution, generating a living and real painting dominated by a concept of sidereal light. The staff of the Enciclopedia d’Arte Italiana extend their deepest condolences to their daughters and to the whole family, hugging each other in a big hug of condolence.
